Lucky Nickel Theatre Company is an independantly owned small theatre company which was founded

in November of 2007 by Nicole DeRosa Lukaitis along with Beth Truax .

It all happened on a whim when after a long journey of searching for a creative outlet for their own children they decided to produce a "small town production" for Christmas.With Nicole's background in theatre and dance she knew she could convince Beth to do it! So, with one audition call, a short rehearsal period, 15 kids and a handful of parents, on a Sunday afternoon, in December of 2007, at the filled to capacity Barrington Borough Hall ,A Christmas Carol was produced, and a theatre community was born! From there they received the blessing from the Barrington Board of Education to produce the next 6 productions which were held at the Woodland Middle School in Barrington as well as granted usage of Haddon Heights High School with the exception of one production.

As Lucky Nickel grew, several children from the surrounding areas began to gravitate towards the community theatre company. Although Lucky Nickel was Free of Tuition and open to any and all whom wished to participate, it was no longer considered a service to the community and lost it's "Temporary Home".

Desperately searching for a home at the last minute , The First Presbyterian Church of Barrington opened it's doors and allowed the 50 or so children to hold It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Production in their sanctuary. With time needed to re group Lucky Nickel took a one show hiatus and was once again granted

permission to house 2 more productions at the Woodland School; the adaptation"Your'e A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and an adaptaion of"GREASE" which became it's first small tuition based production due to the much needed educational format implemented.

Currently Lucky Nickel has housed 3 going on four productions at St Marks Lutheran Church in Oaklyn New Jersey..

LNT Center of Performing Arts,LLC

In July of 2011 after producing the Original "Dolly for Sue". Owner Nicole DeRosa Lukaitis along with the push of Mike and Jen Scarpato opened LNT and all arts educational studio in Barrington. LNT has offered classes in Drama,Dance,Yoga,Visual Arts,Musical, and Vocals. While it's focus is on Drama and being the home for Lucky Nickel Theatre Co. Yoga, Music and Vocals are still a part of it's curriculum.

Community Service and Outreach

Nicole DeRosa Lukaitis continues to pursue her roots in community service and has created an Outreach Drama Program with St. Marks Latch Key Kids Program . Ths is also a great opportunity for kids in the area wishin to receive credit for community service as well . Tallulahs Travels is a project LNT is beginning, inspired by a very dear friend of ours, Chris.
Chris is a Foster Parent in New Jersey and recently has reached out to many friends asking for used or "unneeded" duffle bags for kids “travelling” in and out of Foster Homes. So many times kids in Foster Care do not have the luxury of packing a suitcase, and basically carry their whole lives going from home to home in a trash bag.
So many of us have at least one bag we are not using and hate to see it go to waste so we keep them just in case! Here is the case!

"Our New Diggs"

In June of 2014 LNT opened it's New Doors in Oaklyn New Jersey at215 W. Clinton Ave at "The Alley" which also house Studio LuLoo of "Community Rocks" and Ovations Dance Studio. LNT is thrilled to be a part of this new community of arts and looking forward to being a part of bringing the communities together.
